Tour Itinerary

DAY 1 Arrival in Kathmandu

Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel. Attend the evening programme briefing.

DAY 2 Kathmandu sightseeing

After breakfast, visit Pashupatinath, Guheshwari Temple, Swayambhunath and Jal Narayan. Prepare for the Kailash tour.

DAY 3 Fly from Kathmandu to Lhasa

Fly from Kathmandu to Lhasa. Receive assistance at Gonggar Airport and transfer to the hotel.

DAY 4 Lhasa city tour

After breakfast, visit the world-famous Potala Palace from outside only, Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street. Stay overnight at a hotel.

DAY 5 Fly to Ali and drive to Manasarovar

After breakfast, fly to Ali Airport. Receive assistance on arrival and drive to Lake Manasarovar for the lake circumambulation. Stay overnight at a guest house in Manasarovar.

DAY 6 Manasarovar rituals and trek to Diraphuk

Spend the morning in puja, havan, worship and bathing at Lake Manasarovar. After puja, drive 45 km to Yam Dwar via Darchen and begin the Kailash Parikrama. Trek 12 km to Diraphuk and stay overnight at a guest house.

DAY 7 Trek to Zuthulphuk via Gaurikunda

Trek 22 km to Zuthulphuk via Gaurikunda. Stay overnight at a guest house.

Walking / trekking: Approximately 10 hours

DAY 8 Trek to Chandu and drive to Ali

After breakfast, trek to Chandu, then drive to Ali via Darchen and Tirthapuri / Bhasmasur. Stay overnight at a hotel.

DAY 9 Fly from Ali to Lhasa

Instead of departure after the Kailash tour, begin the Muktinath tour. Drive early in the morning to Pokhara via Manakamana Temple and stay overnight at a hotel.

Fly to Jomsom early in the morning, then travel by jeep to Muktinath Temple. Allow plenty of time for puja and bathing. Drive back to Jomsom in the afternoon and stay overnight at a hotel.
