DAY 1 Arrival in Chengdu, China

DAY 2 Fly to Lhasa (3,700 m)

Flight · Arrival in Tibet

Fly to Lhasa and transfer to the hotel. In the evening, enjoy a walk around Barkhor Street and the market.

DAY 3 Lhasa city tour

Potala Palace · Jokhang Temple · Barkhor

Visit the world-famous Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple, followed by time around Barkhor.

DAY 4 Drive to Shigatse (approx. 360 km)

Tashilhunpo Monastery

DAY 5 Drive to Tingri (Segar)

DAY 6 Rongbuk Monastery and Everest Base Camp

Mount Everest views

Drive to the Rongbuk Monastery area and visit Everest Base Camp in the afternoon. In the evening, visit Rongbuk Monastery and enjoy views of Mount Everest from the base-camp area.

DAY 7 Drive to Saga (approx. 280 km)

Join the regular Kailash route

Drive approximately 280 km to Saga and join the regular Kailash route. The tour crew will meet the group here, including the cook who will prepare and serve meals.

DAY 8 Drive to Lake Mansarovar (approx. 385 km)

Holy lake · Approx. 4,500 m

Drive to sacred Lake Mansarovar. Enjoy the first glimpse of the holy lake and views of Mount Kailash from Horchu Pass. Stay at Chhu Gompa on the shore of Lake Mansarovar.

DAY 9 Lake Mansarovar worship and drive to Darchen

Darchen · Approx. 4,560 m

Spend time at Lake Mansarovar for puja, havan, worship, meditation and other personal spiritual practices. In the afternoon, drive approximately 30 km to Darchen.

DAY 10 Darchen to Diraphuk — Parikrama begins

Approx. 18 km · 4–5 hours walking

The Kailash circuit begins. Drive approximately 10 km to Tarboche, then trek towards Diraphuk. The walking portion is approximately 4–5 hours. Diraphuk is at about 4,890 m.

DAY 11 Trek to Zuthulphuk via Dolma La Pass

Approx. 22 km · 8–10 hours walking

Continue the Parikrama on the most demanding day of the circuit. Trek over Dolma La Pass (approximately 5,600 m), offer a short prayer at the pass, and continue towards Gaurikunda before proceeding to Zuthulphuk (approximately 4,790 m).
